阿爾瑪獨自居住在一棟寬敞的聯排別墅里，米娜則是一位來自另外一座城市廉租房的單親媽媽。這兩位女性的生活都圍繞著探監而展開。她們的伴侶分別因不同原因被關押在同一所監獄。一次在探監室外的休息區，阿爾瑪和米娜偶然相遇，一段意想不到的友誼就此開始……
